Below I have included all of the badges I have earned through completing the modules in this course. Badges are great to incorporate in the classroom because it gives students a sense of accomplishment without using a traditional marking scheme. Often, students compare their marks to one another and, sometimes inadvertently, make each other feel ashamed of their marks if they worked equally as hard yet received different grades. Badges give students a sense of pride, accomplishment, and encouragement.
Within this course, there are three main badges: The Cup of Wisdom, Order of TPACK, and Genius Hour Wiz badges. Together, these equate to 100% of the course grade.
Course Reflection
Since the beginning of this course, I have learned so much about technology and how to integrate different technology resources within my own classroom! As a result, I have created a tech tool box document, compiling all of the different resources I have used and discovered through this course. In my placement, I am currently working with Grade 8 students, and I feel that they will really appreciate me using technology within our classroom to increase their interest and engagement. At the beginning of the course, I knew a very limited amount about how to incorporate technology into my classroom, however I feel much more prepared to integrate technology into my own classroom now!
